چکیده

telencephalon at E9.5–10.5 and cortical ventricular zone later than E12.5. Otx, Tcf, Smad and two sites for unknown transcriptional factors are essential to all these activities. The enhancer is well conserved among tetrapods. The mutant that lacks this enhancer demonstrated that the Emx2 expression under this enhancer is indeed essential to diencephalon, telencephalon and cortical development. However, the Emx2 expression is greatly reduced, but present in the enhancer mutant, indicating the presence of another enhancer. The FB enhancer lacks the activity in cortical hem and does not exhibit a graded activity in dorsal telencephalon. These are unique features of the Emx2 expression in mammalian telencephalon that has Cajal-Retzius cells for the layer formation and exhibits area patterning; the second enhancer is most probably unique to mammal.

Neuroanatomical evidence for segregation of nerve fibers conveying light touch and pain sensation in Eimer's organ of the mole.

Talpid moles are small insectivores that live in dark underground tunnels. They depend heavily on touch to navigate and find food. Most species have an array of complex epidermal sensory structures called Eimer's organs that cover the tip of the nose. In this study, the anatomy of Eimer's organ was examined in the coast mole and star-nosed mole by using the fluorescent styryl pyridinium dye AM1...

Localization of a passively transferred human recombinant monoclonal antibody to herpes simplex virus glycoprotein D to infected nerve fibers and sensory neurons in vivo.

A human recombinant monoclonal antibody to herpes simplex virus (HSV) glycoprotein D labeled with the fluorescent dye Cy5 was administered to mice infected in the cornea with HSV type 1 (HSV-1). The distribution of such antibody in the corneas and trigeminal ganglia of the mice was then investigated by confocal microscopy. The antibody was detected on HSV-infected nerve fibers in the cornea--id...

بررسی اثر تابش لیزر کم قدرت مادون قرمز بر زمان تأخیر اعصاب حسی محیطی

The purpose of this study were to 1) demonstrate the effect of infrared laser radiation on the sensory nerve latency of peripheral nerve, and 2) determine temperature changes in the tissue surrounding of the treated area. Fifty health subjects without an history of right and left upper extremity pathological conditions were divided into two groups: laser (n=30) and placebo (n=20) groups. Six 1 ...

O-28: Role of HOX Family Related Genes in Pain Generation of Endometriosis Patients

Background Endometriosis is a common gynecological disease, can cause severe pelvic pain. Studies demonstrated the presence of sensory nerve fibers in endometrium of endometriosis patient. Nevertheless, no information is available on mechanisms of sensory nerve formation in eutopic or ectopic lesions. Since HOX genes have important roles in both reproductive tract and nerve growth, we decided t...

Tissue preparation and immunostaining of mouse sensory nerve fibers innervating skin and limb bones.

Detection and primary processing of physical, chemical and thermal sensory stimuli by peripheral sensory nerve fibers is key to sensory perception in animals and humans. These peripheral sensory nerve fibers express a plethora of receptors and ion channel proteins which detect and initiate specific sensory stimuli. Methods are available to characterize the electrical properties of peripheral se...
